Prof Douglas Parker's, paper on upper-air measurements over West Africa has recently been identified as a "new hot paper" by Thomson-Reuters:
This paper describes the resuscitation of the climate observing network over West Africa in 2006, and makes some comments on the future strategy for climate monitoring in the continent.
Every two months, Essential Science IndicatorsSM from Thomson Reuters lists a new crop of what it calls hot papers in science. Hot papers are selected by virtue of being cited among the top one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) in a current bimonthly period.
